Haulio gives dealers and importers two ways to move a full truck load: run it yourself on the marketplace, or place a transport order and let us handle it. They are different products with a different focus, and picking the right one for each load saves you either money or time.
What is the Haulio marketplace?
The marketplace is where you run your own transport. You post a full truck load, vetted car carriers across the Nordics and Europe compete for it, and you choose who gets it. You decide how the load is awarded:
- Open bidding. Carriers see the load and the bid to beat. You accept the offer you want, or set an instant-book price that the first carrier can claim.
- Sealed bids. Each carrier bids once without seeing the others. Useful as a benchmark for a new lane or a large volume.
- Your own network. Send the load only to carriers you already work with, and still get the tracking and paperwork of the platform.
Competition sets the price: the carrier with a truck near your cars can usually offer the most. Haulio’s fee on the marketplace is a 3% service fee on the transport.
What is a transport order?
A transport order is the hands-off option. You tell us where the full truck load is picked up and delivered, we send you one competitive, all-in quote, and when you accept it Haulio handles the rest: choosing the carrier, booking the pickup, the paperwork and the follow-up. You follow the truck live, so you know where your cars are and when they are collected and delivered.

When should you use the marketplace?
The marketplace suits teams that already plan transport and want control over who carries their cars and at what price. It works best when:
- you move loads on the same lanes every week and know what a fair price looks like;
- you have carriers you trust and want to keep them, with a market benchmark next to them;
- you can give carriers a pickup window, which brings in trucks that are already nearby.
When is a transport order the better choice?
A transport order suits importers who would rather not manage transport at all, and anyone in a busy week. Use it when:
- the lane is new to you and you don’t know which carriers run it;
- you need the load handled end to end, including following up with the carrier;
- you want one price up front instead of comparing offers.
Do both get the same service?
Yes. Whichever way a load is booked, it moves with a vetted carrier, every car is photographed and signed for on a CMR at pickup and delivery, and the truck’s status is visible from collection to delivery. Haulio invoices you and pays the carrier, so there is one invoice either way. And both come with the same promise: delivered within 10 business days, 4 on average.
